Scope of Eligibility
Open to permanent employees in a competitive title who work for the Community Investment & Economic Revitalization Program and meet the requirements below.

Description
Assists the head of a Bureau or Service in a state department, institution, or agency by performing and coordinating administrative support services: does other related work.

Specific to Position
Under limited supervision, the selected candidate will review and evaluate the Historic Preservation Office's (HPO) annual federal funding cycle, through preparation and execution of the federal grant budget, organizational workplan, application, and end-of-year reporting. Individual will assist in analysis and operation of HPO’s Certified Local Government program, including development and expansion of HPO’s CLG sub-grant program in DEP’s SAGE system. Additionally, the selected candidate will review and analyze the assessment of HPO's performance and operating manuals by updating policy and procedures documentation and making it available through improved distribution channels such as SharePoint. The selected candidate will also, assist in developing, prepare and execute fiscal responsibilities for all HPO contracting and procurement.

Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following or a combination of both experience and education. Thirty (30) semester hour credits are equal to one (1) year of relevant experience.

Six (6) years of professional experience involving the review, analysis, and evaluation of budget, organization, administrative practices, operational methods, management operations, or data processing applications, or any combination thereof, which shall have included responsibility for recommendation, planning, and/or implementation of improvements in a business or government agency.

OR

Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; and two (2) years of the above-mentioned professional experience.

OR

Possession of a Master's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Accounting; and one (1) year of the above-mentioned professional experience.

NOTE: "Professional experience" refers to work that is creative, analytical, evaluative, and interpretive; requires a range and depth of specialized knowledge of the profession's principles, concepts, theories, and practices; and is performed with the authority to act according to one's own judgment and make accurate and informed decisions.


NOTE:  All U.S. degrees and transcripts must be from an accredited college or university.  All foreign degrees and transcripts must be evaluated for accreditation by a recognized evaluation service by the closing date of this posting.  Failure to provide documentation may result in ineligibility.

License
Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.

Residency
