Hourly Rate: Sliding Scale based on Education Level ($18-$23 Per Hour)
 
Program:  Water Resource Management – Division of Water Supply & Geoscience – Bureau of Water System Engineering
 
Program Description: The WRM Program establishes water quality and drinking water standards, monitors the waters of the State to ensure surface and groundwater standards are met, helps ensure delivery of water that meets drinking water standards, and regulates discharges of wastewater and storm water to surface and ground water. The WRM Program also regulates and manages the diversion of water from surface and groundwaters to ensure protection of the resource, and provides low cost financial assistance for finance capital improvements to water infrastructure. The Program works to ensure adequate, reliable, sustainable supplies for current and future needs, uses, and the environment.

Project Description: The required tasks will benefit full-time program staff by providing more efficient ways of tracking the programs as well as making updated information readily available.
 
Specific to the Position: As part of a one-on-one assignment with a mentor, responsibilities of this position will include the analysis of data reported to NJDEP and follow-up with permittees. Additional responsibilities include assisting with updates to licensed operator information for wastewater systems and assisting with other projects as needed.
 
License: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
