Program: Watershed & Land Management - Division of Watershed Protection & Restoration - Bureau of NJPDES Stormwater Permitting & Water Quality Management
Program Description: At the DEP's Watershed and Land Management Program (WLM), our mission is to unite land and water stewardship through a collaborative, watershed-focused approach. Since our inception on June 1, 2020, we have been dedicated to preserving and enhancing New Jersey's water quality and natural resources while safeguarding communities from environmental threats.
Project Description: OCE is in the process of creating data and developing data collection and visualization tools for several mission critical functions, including Storm Damage Assessments, Navigational Buoy Placement, and shore protection project implementation. These efforts and the associated tasks are very time consuming and require additional assistance.
Specific to the Position: Assist office staff with various tasks including, but not limited to, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) work, data organization, and various other project-related tasks.
Preferred Skill Set: Experience with Microsoft Office and ArcGIS Pro is preferred.
License: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
